Govenment Reform

MARGRET

MOORE

Margaret’s rural upbringing on her family farm taught her to always be on the forefront of change. She never waited for someone to tell her what to do, she took charge of the farm herself. That’s why she was a first-generation college student in her town, a 25 year old representative, and a 30 year old senator. And that’s why she will be the first female and one of the youngest presidents in U.S. history, bringing the Republican party back home... to the midwest.

Government Reform

  • With firsthand experience in Congress, Moore has witnessed the inefficiency of the federal government when it oversteps its constitutional bounds like with the Farm Bill. Moore supports the limited use of national government and devolution. Power should be redistributed to the states. The national government has abandoned rural people, and Moore believes that less federal government will benefit farmers and laborers with the lowest levels of government addressing issues close the people.

Immigration

Immigration

  • Moore stands in solidarity with laborers and farmers whether they are native Americans or immigrants, and she recognizes that a large portion of these people are immigrants who deserved to be protected. However, she does not support illegal immigrants or the protection of illegal immigrants.

  • Moore supports Immigration reform that prioritizes national security. Immigrants must enter the U.S. through legal means. Legal immigrants should be rewarded with means of becoming assimilated into the American economy, and Moore endorses programs with this intention. This will also encourage legal immigration.

Healthcare

Healthcare

  • Moore stands for repealing Obamacare, an attack on the Constitution. In addition, government-run healthcare leads to substandard and inefficient healthcare.

  • Moore promotes the experimentation with Healthcare under local governments.

  • Moore is anti-Abortion and Planned Parenthood.

Economy

Economy

  • Moore endorses free trade especially for it’s agricultural benefits. She believes that focussing on freeing producers from regressive tariffs that hurt agricultural trade will help the country at large. Protectionism hurts consumers, especially poor consumers, and it even distorts the world economy.

Enviroment

Environment

  • Moore, as a farmer, has seen first-hand the effects of climate change, with drought affecting her own Iowa crops. However, she thinks the federal government spending billions on environment protection will lead to less farm production. Reform should be locally based.

  • Moore wants to conserve the beautiful lands of God and considers it her moral duty. She wants to have a market-centered solution involving the union of economic prosperity and environment conservation.

Tax Reform

Tax Reform

  • No Tax Increases

  • The current tax system penalizes productivity.

  • Moore does not endorse the FairTax which would replace all existing taxes with a single broad retail tax because the tax burden would fall on the poorest people of America.

  • Moore supports Marco Rubio’s idea to triple the Child-tax credit, making family a vital institution again.

Jobs

Jobs

  • Moore wants to bring the Republican party home, back to the backbone of America: independent farmers! She wants to propose and pass legislation that takes the federal government out of crop-planting decisions. These are matters of market demand, not federal government subsidies and regulations which are ultimately harmful to America’s farmers. She strongly opposes the inadequate farm bill which doesn’t address renewable energy, water regulation, or agricultural trade. As of right now, agricultural policy is not proactive. It’s reactive to risks of production. Moore wants to put alternative fuel innovation in the hands of producers themselves. She also wants to prevent the government from distorting food prices which allows producers to succeed or fail on their own merits.

Education
Education

Education

  • Moore is Pro-School Choice, but she also prioritizes bringing school choice to the lower class.

  • Moore is Anti- Common Core because it takes power away from local governments. The people, not bureaucrats should be able to decide curriculum.

  • Competition would make our school systems better.

  • Get rid of the Department of Education.

  • Moore is Anti-Affirmative Action because she believes it is racial discrimination. She witnessed first hand that Brown was racially diverse, and affirmative action hurt whites. Rural whites are underrepresented at institutions of higher education and affirmative action ignores these people.

Foreign Policy

Foreign Policy

  • Moore thinks intervention in foreign affairs is dangerous when we have domestic priorities to be concerned with. She was anti-Iraqi war. She believes we must be self-interested and act in accordance with the common good for the American people. Then, once we build a strong foundation with our laborers and farmers, people abroad will respect our strength.

  • If another country is in crisis and it threatens our own security, THEN we step in, but too often the national government overestimates how involved we should be.

  • Moore endorses stay in the UN, but taking a back seat, and assuming a non-interventional role. She also calls for the transparency of the UN.

Terrorism

Terrorism

  • We prevent attacks by avoiding foreign entanglements.

  • We will not negotiate with terrorists.

  • The best way to avoid foreign entanglements is to limit the amount of refugees coming from at risk areas.
